"This season, the national championship will be triumphant for us. Because a number of issues will be resolved," said President of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation Shahin Baghirov at the press conference held prior to the opening of the 2023/2024 season of the Azerbaijan Championship.

Touching upon the cooperation with the CEV, he added: "We will work closely with the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), and we are confident that the CEV will support us in the development of volleyball."
