IJF judo coaching certificate program completed

On February 6 - 18, 2023, final training courses and exams within the judo coaching certificate for Level 1 program of the International Judo Federation Academy were held in Baku.

It should be noted that as a result of AJF’s cooperation with the Academy, started from March of 2022, more than 80 judo coaches were involved the menioned program. 79 coaches who successfully passed theoretical exams obtained appropiriate certificates. 68 coaches obtained Level 1 judo coaching certificate. All coaches attended International Judo Federation Academy program received certificates of participants of the International Olympic Committee.

IJF Academy Director Envic Galea, Program Director Dr. Tobor Kozsla, IJF Academy Sports Director Daniel Lascau and other experts (10 experts in total) conducted seminars and exams.

IJF Academy’s experts Mesut Kapan and Rio-2016 Olympic champion Tina Trstenjak also organised master classes for members of the national team consisting of juniors and young girls in the framework of the courses.

It should be noted that the coaching program was arranged by the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Judo Federation with the financial support of the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Solidarity Department and the technical support of the International Judo Federation.
